HIGH FALLS FOUNDATION has partnered with the Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (CCAHM) since 2000 to deliver programs in medicinal plant horticulture, agriculture, ecology and conservation to graduate students and practitioners of EAM (East Asian Medicine).

A nationwide effort to create Student Gardens and other plant-related projects associated with the graduate colleges of AOM/EAM commenced in the year 2000 and was particularly active from 2006-2009. About half of the 50 graduate schools participated in some form. See photos of some of the activities:

From 2005 to 2011, Jean Giblette ran a “herb camp” in late August for graduate students of East Asian Medicine. Participants stayed on a local farm and spent an intensive week of digging, weeding, and closely observing the plants of their materia medica. This was an entirely new experience for some, and proved enlightening for most. Students may remember the moments in these photos:
